Insect Rearing

Department of Biological Sciences hosts a small pilot scale Insect rearing facility at the research foundation. The rearing facility supports the culturing and maintenance of Spodoptera litura (Leaf worm moth) and Corcyra cephalonica (Rice Moth). Different stages eggs, larvae and adults of these insect are maintained to provide for the scientists and graduate students at the centre.
